Welcome to Guitar Chords & Scales Finder ("the App"), developed by Aaron Wampler. The App helps users learn and practice guitar chords and scales. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the App, which offers optional in-app purchases and is distributed via the Google Play Store. Your use of the App is also governed by our Terms of Service.

The App does not contain third-party advertisements. We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII), such as your name, email address, or phone number. This policy explains how limited, non-personal data is collected by Google and Firebase services to provide analytics, improve the App, and support its core functionality.

We do not collect, store, or transmit PII. However, to distribute the App and enable features like in-app purchases, we rely on Google Play services, which may handle certain data as described below.

A. Google Play (In-App Purchases & App Distribution)

The App may offer in-app purchases (IAP), such as one-time purchases, to unlock premium features. These are processed securely by the Google Play Store.

• Purchase Data: We do not access or store your financial information (e.g., credit card details). Google manages all transaction details and purchase history. We receive only limited, anonymized data (e.g., purchase IDs) to confirm successful transactions and unlock App features.

B. Analytics, Performance, and Crash Reporting (Firebase Services)

To understand how the App is used, identify bugs, and improve performance, we use the following services from Google's Firebase platform. These services collect non-personally identifiable data.

• Firebase Analytics: This service helps us understand user engagement by collecting data such as session duration, device type, operating system, and general geographic location (country/city). The App uses an "app-instance ID" to distinguish between different installations but does not collect or use the Advertising ID.
• Firebase Crashlytics: This service automatically collects crash reports, which include information about the device, OS version, and the state of the app at the time of a crash. This data is essential for diagnosing and fixing bugs.
• Firebase Performance Monitoring: This service collects data on the App's performance, such as startup time, to help us identify and resolve performance issues.

C. Local Data Storage

The App stores data locally on your device to save your preferences or custom content (such as fretboard style). This data is never transmitted to us or any third party and is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data.

2. How We Use Information

As we do not collect PII, we do not use personal data for any purpose. The limited, non-personal data collected by Google and Firebase services is used to:

• Process in-app purchases securely and manage your purchase history.
• Provide anonymized analytics to understand user engagement and improve App features.
• Provide crash logs and performance data to improve the App’s stability and performance.

Any local data stored on your device (e.g., settings or fretboard style) is used solely to enhance your experience within the App.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any user data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not share personally identifiable information because we do not collect it.

The non-personal, aggregated data collected for analytics, performance, and crash reporting is shared with Google's Firebase services, as detailed in Section 1.B. This data helps us improve the app and is handled according to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

We comply with applicable data protection laws, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Economic Area, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other regional regulations.

A. Accessing Your Data

Since we do not collect or store PII, we cannot process requests for data access or correction directly. Any data associated with your Google Account (e.g., purchase history) is managed by Google. You can review or manage this data using tools like the Google Privacy Checkup.

B. In-App Purchases

C. Data Deletion Request

We do not collect or store personally identifiable information, and therefore, we do not have user accounts to delete.

The data collected by the app, as declared in our Data Safety section, consists of:

• Purchase History: This data is managed entirely by the Google Play Store and is linked to your Google Account. We do not store this information on our servers. To manage this data, please refer to your Google Account settings.
• Crash Logs, Diagnostics, and Device IDs: This data is collected anonymously by Google's services to help us improve the app. This data is not linked to you personally.

However, to comply with Google Play's Data Deletion policy, we provide a pathway for you to request the deletion of any data associated with you. 5. Data Security

We rely on Google’s industry-standard security measures for Google Play services, including secure transaction processing and data transmission. The App is rated “Everyone” on the Google Play Store and is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your region, such as 16 under GDPR in some countries).
